Michael Johnson, MS, SCCC, USAW: OSU Sports Performance Coach

Johnson has joined the Sports Performance Center staff as an assistant coordinator. He arrives at OSU after serving as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Hawai’i for the last year, where he worked with the baseball, track, football, and men’s and women’s basketball teams. He is a 2009 graduate of Oregon State with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science, and earned his master’s in the same field of study from OSU in 2011. Johnson was an intern in the Sports Performance Center while at OSU for three years. He participates in Olympic weightlifting competitions and is certified by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.
